Frequently Asked Questions

The T-18 Log Rail barrier is a crash-tested road safety system designed to blend into natural or rural environments while still providing vehicle containment. The timber-look profile makes it a popular choice for parks, scenic roadways, national parks, and heritage areas where a standard galvanised steel barrier would be visually out of place with the surroundings.

The T-18 Log Rail is a crash-tested barrier system. It has been assessed for vehicle containment performance, confirming it meets the required impact standards when installed correctly.

The T-18 Log Rail is frequently used on roads passing through national parks, scenic routes, and heritage corridors where planners and councils require a safety barrier that blends in with the natural landscape. The timber-look aesthetic satisfies visual requirements while still meeting road safety standards.

The T-18 Log Rail system is installed by our team using driven or concreted posts at the specified spacing, with the log-profile rail sections bolted to the posts at the required working height. End treatments are fitted at each end of the barrier run. Installation is carried out to the product’s engineering specifications and the requirements of the relevant road authority.

T-18 Log Rail barriers are low-maintenance under normal service conditions. We recommend that you inspect the rail sections every 6-12 months for impact damage, and any sections struck by a vehicle should be assessed and replaced as soon as possible to make sure the barrier is working at its full containment performance.
